Enterprise, Utah is located in south western Utah, 40 miles north of St. George via Highway 18. Enterprise is located in the southern most part of the Great Basin. The community is rural in nature and has access to wonderful outdoor activities, such as camping, hunting, fishing, hiking, and cycling. Enterprise is about 20 minutes from the Upper and Lower Enterprise Reservoirs.
It was first settled in 1896 by Jacob Micah Truman, who was soon followed by several families. All of the early residents were Mormon Settlers and they worked on a project to build a dam on a tributary to Shoal Creek and create the Enterprise Reservoir.
