Springdale is known as "The Gateway To Zion National Park" and lies right in front of the western entrance to Zion, within one hour from St. George, Cedar City and Coral Pink Sand Dunes. The population was 457 at the 2000 census.
Springdale is oriented around the resulting park tourist industry providing restaurants, bed and breakfasts, hotel rooms and festivals in addition to the many park based activities.
This beautiful city is also a haven for artists and writers with many galleries carrying paintings, high quality crafts and antiques.
Forbes Traveler named this city among one of the 20 'prettiest towns' in the United States in 2008.
